how do i enter brake tester etc calibrations? or is this on hold at the mo

Was visited by my DVSA  VE  on the 7th last for site assessment & he informed 3 years nitros44

If you want to keep the longer ok

Am a green site and get done every 3 years.

With comp2 calibration is not entered onto the system, therefore understand why they are changing keeping a hard copy from 2 years to 3.

May be its you and your VE that needs bringing up to date,its always been minimum of 2 years .
The testing guide will always out weight your local VE,
The retention of calibration certicates has not change in regards to comp 2
Show me where it says 3 years

So in the meantime what manuals and guides do we use ?

The manuals accessed on comp 2 also state an issue date of 2012 so what's your point ,please don't give the "transition" story coz no one will buy that Paul

Got nothing new to add to what I have written, not selling anything, and  am keeping my calibration certs for 3 years nitros44.

For Information

Had a DVSA site assessment on the 7th of this month and was instructed by the VE to keep my calibration certificates for 3 years instead of the 2 years as outlined in The MOT Testing Guide. Am a green site and get done every 3 years. (The previous site assement to this was 22nd August 2012).

DVSA VE is next scheduled to visit in August or September 2018 whereupon I shall be required to make available 3 years of calibration certificates for inspection.

What it states in the manual is correct. Until a special notice tells you otherwise then go by what the manual says. If you want to keep them for longer then no one will stop you. If your VE wants you to keep them for longer then perhaps you should to keep the peace but you don't need to and neither does anyone else.

Paul, we have a rule on the forum that if you have important info about the MOT scheme then a link to an official source eg. Matters of testing, a Special notice, the testers manual/guide, a Council meeting, or a name from DVSA which supplied the info is needed. Unless the info can be verified then please do not post it. Thank you.
