Seized top mount

Just tested a Nissan SUV with a seized strut top mount. The spring was scraping round in the top pan and worn a hole. I couldn't find a rfr. Rfrs for excessive wear etc. but nothing for seized. Anyone have an answer for this please?

Without looking at the manual you have probably answered your question P & A

On the turning plates...

Turn the steering from lock to lock and observe the operation of the steering gear.


If power steering is fitted, the engine must be running whilst turning the steering during these checks.


Excessive roughness in operation of steering

Stick a manual note in the rFr advising the seized bearing.
