The following information is from Driving Standards Agency:

Driving test candidates warned on vehicle recalls...

Some vehicles are being recalled by manufacturers and can't be used for driving tests until they've been checked and fixed if necessary.

A vehicle can be recalled by the manufacturer if it has a known safety fault.

There has been a worldwide recall of some vehicles because of concerns about potentially faulty passenger airbags. DSA has published a list of affected vehicles and information about what to do if you're affected.

thanks for the info David. I have just serviced one of my customers cars an 04 Honda jazz which is on the list from your link so I rang and told them about the recall and they were grateful for the info as they knew nothing about it. nice one.

We click through a screen to see VRI as we log on to every test. Never seen anything come up in it, even on cars that have a "safety recall carried out" sticker under the bonnet.
